So, today is Monday, June 6th and I'm starting my Peru blog. I have never kept a blog before, so we'll see what challenges are ahead for sure. I continue to keep the country of Peru in my prayers. There is a lot going on there politically with the election of a new President and, if I'm not mistaken, the inauguration will take place the day after my return home. So, for now, I will pray for the people of Huaraz, open minds and hearts as they grow in their spiritual walk with God, and also for the leadership in place there.
I am so excited about this trip. I want to leave TODAY! I am praying for patience as I open this new chapter in my life. At the same time, I am concerned about the fact that I am still not up to date on speaking Spanish. What better way to learn than to be dropped in the middle of it, right? maybe not.
