Tommy met us at the bus station yesterday and we went straight to eat, we were very hungry after the long bus ride into town. Gloria brought us a great devotion last night about praying for direction and answers from God. She read Terry's letter to the group and believe it or not she said the same thing. God works through us all to bring just the right message. I had been struggleing with a decision that was out of my hands over the last few weeks wondering why my prayer wasn't answered. Well, it was answered, just not with the answer I wanted to hear. I needed to understand that. I know that often I pray for God's will to be done in my life, I just need to be able to accept whatever that may be. So, now I know His answer and have accepted that as final.
Today we will be going out in to the villages to do a little prayer walking and also witnessing to some of the people there. This is my first opportunity to outreach in this way and I am praying God gives me the right words to say. After all, it's not everyday someone has this kind of opportunity, right? That IS what I came here for. I wonder how much of this trip is about me growing in my faith and boldness as it is about the outreach I am going to be able to provide. Use me Lord to do your will. Love getting your updates! I know it's hard to accept God's answers when they're not what we had in mind, but remember God sees the WHOLE picture & truly does have our BEST interest in mind & the BEST answer that will truly bring Him glory! Trust me, I have to keep telling myself that sometimes as a reminder! Keep moving forward & God will work it all out :) Love & prayers! XOXO
